2 13 GOOD PARTNER (CE221) C Brown -- Broke only fairly, restrained to find cover, settled 3 back on rails 4 to 5Ls away, spent nothing in run, travelled well to turn easing clear on top of straight, didn't stop trying in straight making up good ground late.
3 8 GALLANT FALCON (CD194) A Delpech TT Broke well, pushed forward early to take close order, raced 2 wide 4Ls away throughout, trailed eventual winner in straight, stuck to task well making good ground without threatening.
4 4 CLASSIC DELIGHT (CD372) S Dye BO Average into stride as usual, hard ridden to hold spot early, positioned midfield 2 wide 6Ls from leaders throughout, pushed along approaching turn, angled clear in straight and made steady ground.
5 11 SPARKLING STAR (CD055) S K Sit B Standard to begin, settled close to rear 2 wide 7 to 8Ls away, raced between runners throughout, made run along fence in straight, made up good ground giving too great a start.
5 12 LUCKY MONEY (CE159) Y T Cheng V Fastest to break, raced outside the leader but 4 horses wide early, pushed on to lead shade inside horse throughout. Kept going at even clip, in mix until 250 M but couldn't sustain effort and weakened out. Very wayward.
7 10 MY LANSON (CE336) E Saint-Martin SR Began with them, unable to slot in and trapped 4 wide early, raced in rearward spot 7 to 8Ls away, 4 wide throughout, made run widest in straight making some late ground from impossible position.
8 6 TIME SUPREME (CE012) C Soumillon B Fair to begin, lacked early speed, drifted back to worse than midfield, raced 3 wide 6Ls away throughout, always working in middle stages, made some ground in straight but workload took its toll.
9 2 SOLAR EMPIRE (CB299) G Schofield -- Away well, showed good early speed to take up running, kept them going at even clip, pressured throughout but held inside running to turn, headed at 250 M and early work took toll, weakening out of it last 200 M.
10 14 WADADELIGHT (CC340) W M Lai B OK to begin, pushed forward early to take up spot behind leader, had dream run 3Ls away on rails spending nothing to turn, followed paint in straight but raced very one paced over concluding stages.
11 9 LUCKY PORT (CD086) F Coetzee TT Jumped only fairly, lacked early speed, settled midfield 3 wide 4 to 5Ls away from pace, relaxed well but covered extra ground to turn. Under pressure in straight and lacked a response when asked (lame morning after).
12 7 SUNNY RIVIERA (CC240) C Munce -- Average to begin, beaten for early speed, settled near last on rails 9 to 10Ls away, had field to beat on turn and under hard riding, lacked usual dash and only plugged home.
13 1 BOOMING CITY (CE325) D Whyte -- Broke with them, restrained from widest alley to obtain cover, raced 2 to 3 wide in last place 9 to 10Ls from leaders, made 4 wide run into straight, lacked the dash when required and coasted to line.
14 3 BLOOM BLOOM (CG065) R Fradd -- Average to begin, lacked early toe, settled midfield on rails 7 to 8Ls away, niggled along from 600 M, hard ridden in straight, weakened right out of it.
