14 ENCHANTED (CE065) A Delpech SR Broke with rest, drove through from inside draw to hold spot 3 back on fence, had good trip 2Ls away and travelled well on turn, got clear at 300 M and chased solidly to score right on line.
12 TERRAFERMA (CG016) H W Lai B/TT Bounced out first, pressed forward from outside alley to cross to lead (did some work), kept them rolling at a good speed in mid-section, kicked 2Ls clear at 400 M, kept fighting and defied all until the shadows of the post.
7 CHATER SILK (CG050) C Munce -- Jumped with them, lacked early speed, settled down on rails worse than midfield 5Ls away, kept improving on rails throughout, still 5 to 6Ls back on turning, made up considerable ground late on rails to narrowly miss.
3 RELY ON ME (CE068) D Whyte -- Fast into stride, led them early before taking a sit behind leader 1L away, enjoyed run of race in mid-section, flat out chasing at 400 M when clear run presented, kept giving to 100 M but couldn't match them last bit.
8 WISE LOVER (CE095) K L Chui B Bumped shortly after start and lost momentum, settled at rear 9Ls away, raced 3 wide from 800 M mark, improved on turn and came widest into straight, made up large amount of ground from impossible spot to be closest at finish.
5 VICTORY CODE (CE338) B Prebble -- Broke with line, pressed forward to take up prominent spot 1 out 1 back 3Ls away, had dream run in mid-section, travelled well to turn, eased out at 400 M but lacked usual dash and simply kept on at same clip to line.
11 SUPER SNIPPETS (CG217) R Fradd -- Began fairly, restrained and allowed to relax in 2 wide spot just off midfield, raced 6Ls away between horses throughout (over-racing), pushed along to make ground into straight, made a little ground without threatening. Fair debut.
2 AWESOME DRAGON (CG210) Y T Cheng -- Average to begin, unable to go with them early, settled down 6Ls away, 3 wide with cover for most of journey, still well back on straightening, kept trying making some ground but never a real factor.
13 KINGS CROSS (CG124) G Schofield -- Began well, amongst them early, drifted back to midfield, raced 2 wide 5Ls away between horses, pushed along to make ground on turn, unable to find another gear in straight and only plugged to line.
10 WINNING SUNSHINE (CB291) C W Wong -- Broke fairly, showed no speed and allowed to settle rearward from wide alley, raced next to last on rails 8Ls away, began to make run on turn, came between horses in straight but could only pass tired runners in run home.
1 SAVUTE (CE326) C K Tong -- Good speed from gates, hard ridden to assume spot outside leader, raced 1 to 2Ls away without cover to turn, under pressure to keep touch on straightening, gradually weakened right out in straight. Ground may have been a factor.
6 VICTORY START (CG216) W M Lai TT Jumped with them, caught wide from awkward alley, raced 3 wide without cover in midfield 5Ls away, always working in run, flat out to hold spot on turn, unable to show anything in straight and plodded to line.
9 HAPPY GO LAGO (CE310) S Dye P-/B1/TT1 Slow to begin, settled down near rear on rails 8Ls off pace, never really comfortable in going and niggled along on turn, followed paint in straight but dropped out at 250 M. (Mucopus, see Racing Incidents.)
4 CLASSABOVE (CG211) M W Leung -- Slow to begin, gave them 5Ls early, raced in last spot 12Ls away, always hard ridden to keep in touch, made no impression in straight remaining at rear to be well beaten.
