3 TRIUMPHANT GLORY (CB368) D Whyte B Away with them, pressed on from the outside alley to take up a spot in running line 3 to 4Ls back, tracked 3 wide on circle, 2Ls back on turning and steadily made ground to hit lead passing 200 M and outplug the rest in run to the line.
8 WYNDAM PLENTY (CD356) G Mosse TT Amongst first to hit ground, pressed on to take close order, raced 1 out 1 back 2Ls back, came 3 wide to challenge on bend, loomed strongly and took over at 250 M, fought on but couldn't match the winner last furlong.
6 THUNDER STORM (CA226) B Prebble B/H Began reasonably, restrained to find cover at rear of field, raced 2 wide 7Ls off pace, still well back behind horses on bend, came to outside in straight and made up many lengths to be nearest on line.
5 GOOD TRIO (CD029) C K Tong B Standard beginning, settled in a midfield role 2 wide 5Ls off speed, made a 3 wide run on circle, 3 to 4Ls back on turning, came with good run down middle but peaked at 200 M, did well to stick on and make frame.
11 FASTER FASTER (CG010) A Starke -- Jumped away fairly, ridden into a midfield position, race on rails 5Ls back, switched 2 wide on bend, in traffic turning in and didn't really see clear room until at least 200 M, battled evenly thereafter.
2 MUTUAL GAIN (CE275) M Nunes CP-/B2 Began well enough, drove through to hold leaders back early, had run of race thereafter, switched out for a 2 wide trail on bend, took run on rails and challenged strongly at 200 M, condition gave out and just stuck on in same gear late.
1 CHERISHED (CB160) C Soumillon -- Moderate beginning, lacked dash and settled in rearward division on rails 8Ls off speed, not asked to bend, back in traffic turning and closed before being held up when improving late, not fully tested but never really likely.
4 WISDOM EXPRESS (CB377) A Delpech B Evenly away, didn't have much early dash, positioned behind midfield 6Ls from speed, had easy time throughout and saved ground on bend, kept to rails before switching out making moderate headway in the straight.
9 WONDERFUL BOY (CD192) K L Chui V/TT First to hit ground, pushed on but elected to take trail, raced 3 to 4Ls back on rails, had an easy time throughout, kept to fence and was within striking distance on turning, only plugged on at one speed in the straight.
13 BAYVIEW LAD (CC148) Y T Cheng B/TT Amongst them at jump, didn't have much early dash and drifted hack to midfield, posted 3 and 4 wide without cover into mid-section, did share of work to bend, couldn't respond when put under pressure and faded late.
12 WINNING CHAMP (CE233) C W Wong -- Jumped with line, used plenty to go on in second of front, shaded inside horse applying pressure throughout, didn't fully cross but held a length's margin on turning, run ended at 200 M and weakened tamely thereafter.
7 AMBITIOUS LEADER (CC082) O Doleuze B/TT Slowly into stride and lost 4Ls, hard ridden to keep touch, raced at rear 8Ls away in a 2 wide spot, still well back to bend, made run between horses but made no real impression and just plodded to line.
14 ZABEEL VICTORY (CE101) H W Lai B1 Ordinary beginning, chased along and improved 4 wide in midfield 5Ls back, always doing plenty of work wide to bend, offered little in straight and dropped out to be well beaten.
10 JET RISE (CD346) W M Lai SB/H Fast into stride, pushed on and took up front running, pressured but outside horse throughout, under pressure on turning in, failed to respond and stopped quickly dropping off noticably last 200 M.
