3 STEEL NERVES (CG320) C Soumillon -- Awkwarded into stride, ended up well back 5-6Ls away on fence, not used in mid-section, saved ground and weaved between runners in straight, picked up well over last 200 M to narrowly go down.
2 WONDERFUL BLESSING (CE198) B Prebble B2/TT Moderate jump, landed a midfield spot 4Ls back, had a soft trip in mid-section, angled 2-wide rounding turn, same margin down straightening, kept on progressing in straight to finish an honest 3rd.

13 ACTIVE VALOUR (CG045) A Delpech -- Away in line, ended up 3Ls back on fence, enjoyed a quiet trip throughout, close enough on turning, in traffic at 300 M, in mix when clear shortly after but just tired last 100 M.
11 MOSHI MOSHI (CG255) D Beadman CP/TT Showed pace, elected to take a trail and ended up behind the leader, raced a little keenly early, tracked well on bend, lost run at 200 M and didn't get a real crack holding ground late when clear.
10 TOWKAY FLYER (CJ036) F Coetzee -- Amongst first to break, raced outside leader 1L back, had an even run when speed tapered off, right there on turning for home, still green in straight and condition gave out last 100 M.
6 ONE TOUCH (CH199) E Saint-Martin TT1 Out well, ended up 5Ls back in midfeild, didn't settle early, travelled more kindly on bend, eased 3-wide on turning, made some headway in stretch indicating a need for more ground.
5 FIRST KNIGHT (CB357) G Mosse B/SR Standard jump, landed a position 7Ls away in running line, had a fair trip although not helped when pace slackened, still had a task in front on bend, made even progress without threatening.
1 EMBRACES (CH175) K T Yeung -- Average beginning, settled in rearward division, raced 7 to 8Ls back, not advantaged by pace, still well off leader on bend, made a little late progress but never really likely.
14 LEADER (CG012) Y T Cheng SR/TT No pace from outset, ended up 9Ls back in last position, not suited by tempo, well back on circle, had field to beat on bend, past some tired runners late however set an impossible task.
