5 NORDIC STAR (CH302) D Whyte TT 5Ls back in midfield at 1000 M, attacked enterprisingly out wide from the 500 M to lead at top of home straight, always holding a break thereafter.
9 CHATER DE LAGO (CG246) D Beadman B/TT Towards rear tracking winner 6Ls off speed at 1000 M, followed NORDIC STAR'S winning move on the circle and stayed on best of the rest.
11 AMAZING ME (CH080) S K Sit XB/TT 9Ls last at the 1200 M, 5-wide (widest of all) and one from rear swinging for home, stayed on well to nick a place near the line.
8 DASHING CHAMPION (CC015) K T Yeung SR Best away and held 'one-out-one-back' spot until straightening, left flat-footed by winner's burst forward 500 M out, one-paced to conclude. (Questioned.)
6 SUNNY SMILES (CJ073) W C Marwing -- Slow to muster early speed, 4-back along rails 5Ls off pace at 1000 M, made some minor late ground but posed no great threat overall.
2 ELECTRONIC MASTER (CJ135) B Prebble -- Pressed forward from 3-wide no cover position to dispute pace from 1000 M to home straight, weakened inside final furlong.
1 SPICY FRUITY (CJ220) C W Wong -- Crossed from widest gate to lead by 1L at 1300 M, joined from 1000 M to the 400 M, petered out weakly once headed by the winner at top of stretch. (Tactic questioned.)
4 NEEDLES AND THREAD (CJ282) B Doyle B 4Ls back in 6th out 2-wide at 1000 M, closer taking final bend, had his chance but was very one-paced.
12 REAL REJOICING (CH202) Y T Cheng B-/TT Box-seated early on and still nicely placed in 4th on the rails turning in, lacked any kind of acceleration.
10 MEATH (CE143) H W Lai SR/V 3-back along rails in 5th at 1000 M, 3Ls down in 6th off last bend and could only plod on harmlessly.
3 ESPACE D'OR (CJ189) E Saint-Martin -- Fractious in gates, always rearward and 7Ls back at 1200 M and 5Ls down in 10th off last corner when under pressure, laboured finish.
7 TOUCH MORE (CJ180) Z Purton B Soon well back in rear, struggling when 7Ls adrift at the 500 M, never on terms. (Tactic questioned.)
