7 WINNING LEADER (N268) Z Purton H Dropped in nicely 3-4ls back in running line behind pace, stalked them to bend, produced a strong finish down middle taking lead inside 200m and scoring with some in hand.
8 GALAXY PRANCER (N389) G Mosse -- Out in line, caught 3 wide so pressed on and raced outside leader, even run mid stages after using a bit early, challenged and hit front at 250m but couldn't withstand challenge of eventual winner final furlong.
10 ABLE FRIEND (P303) K Teetan CP Taken back from widest alley, raced 8ls back at rear racing 2 and 3 wide, got moving rounding bend and unleashed a powerful sprint in straight making up many lengths from an impossible spot to take place.
1 NOBLE ALPHA (M339) A Suborics P Standard jump but mustered to race on leaders back, had nice trail thereafter, loomed a place chance in straight and kept on well but unable to stay in mix final 100m.
14 WINNIE'S HORSE (P169) K C Leung TT Began well, occupied 1 out 1 back spot, had decent run to turn, angled wider to challenge but unable to match dash of first few and just stuck on at same speed holding ground.
11 KA YING KID (P189) W M Lai TT Showed speed to take up front running which hasn't been usual role, set reasonable speed in front, defied them to 250m but couldn't keep on, held ground respectfully thereafter.
3 SEA DIAMOND (N237) W C Marwing H/XB/TT Took a spot on rails 3ls or so off pace, was a bit difficult to settle but not required to work to bend, in behind horses turning but just stayed on same pace when clear (lame next day)
9 LET ME HANDLE IT (CL287) T Angland -- Dropped back from a tricky alley, raced 6ls back in running line, still had a bit to do turning, closed evenly without ever looking a threat.
12 GREAT AND BEYOND (N400) C Y Ho P Unable to slot in from a wide gate and dropped back to race 3 wide behind midfield 6ls back, had cover in mid-section, came wider but made no real progress in straight.
13 VICTORIUS (N423) T H So B Angled into a midfield role, raced 5ls back in pack, tracked eventual winner turning, lacked a close final 300m and just battled away thereafter (lame next day)
2 FUN RIDER (CK231) M Chadwick B No early pace dropped back to race with last few 7-8ls back on rails, always well back and kept to fence just passing tired runners in straight.
4 CHATER WAY (CL093) D Whyte SR Out with rest, caught 3 wide without cover in midfield 4-5ls back, did share of work on bend, couldn't respond turning and gradually faded.
5 DEEP THINKER (N159) C O'Donoghue -- Dropped down to rear from a tricky gate, raced 8ls back at tail, always at back to bend, set too much to do but failed to make much ground at all (jockey reported didn't stretch out)
6 MILITARY SECRET (N383) O Doleuze -- Fractious before start, average getaway, raced behind midfield 5-6ls back on rails, keen in mid-section, made some ground turning but didn't finish it off in straight.
