Racing Incident Report

When the gates opened, VIPER CORP bounded in the air, then shifted in and bumped the hindquarters of DELIGHTFUL SPECIAL. DELIGHTFUL SPECIAL was then obliged to travel wide without any cover for most of the race. EQUIKIT left the gates very awkwardly with its head up, as a consequence lost considerable ground. On jumping, ACROBATIC shifted in abruptly and bumped SUPER GOAL STRIKER which in turn shifted ground and bumped KINDRED SPIRITS. In the early stages, the saddle on DR MORE shifted back. For some distance about the 300 Metres, ACROBATIC was awkward on the heels of LUCKY STALLION which was held up behind SLOTOP. Approaching the 200 Metres, ACROBATIC was shifted out to try and find running and go forward. Near the 200 Metres, VIPER CORP (W M Lai), which was having trouble finding clear running, shifted out and inconvenienced DOLBRIDGE. Shortly after this, as VIPER CORP continued to shift out, inconvenience was caused to HERO'S WAY which was crowded onto EQUIKIT. W M Lai was told he must exercise far more care when shifting ground. LUCKY STALLION and COMME D'HABITUDE were sent for clinical veterinary examination and routine testing.
