Racing Incident Report

On jumping, CAPE OF GOOD HOPE and INDIGENOUS bumped. ANABATIK was a little slow to begin. THUNDER began awkwardly, bumped the outside gate of its stall and was then bumped by SUPER MOLLY which shifted in. Because of this, THUNDER was momentarily steadied away from the heels of FIREBOLT. Near the 1000 Metres, TRIPLE EXPRESSO was steadied away from the heels of CHARMING CITY which shifted in slightly when tight on the inside of FIREBOLT. No action was taken. For the major part of the race, ALL THRILLS TOO was obliged to race wide and without cover. THUNDER was sent for a clinical veterinary examination. A veterinary examination of THUNDER following the race did not show any significant findings. GRAND DELIGHT and CAPE OF GOOD HOPE were sent for sampling. After the race, D Whyte (SUPER MOLLY) said the horse was not striding out freely. The horse was examined by the Veterinary Officer who said he was not able to detect any significant findings.
Additional Veterinary Report (released on 28 Apr. 2003) :
