Racing Incident Report
CHATEAU KING PRAWN was slow to begin. On jumping, THE WORLD OF LOVE and SILVER WRAITH bumped. Apprentice C W Wong (BOBO WIN) pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding [Rule 100(1)] in that near the 800 Metres he failed to take sufficient measures to prevent his mount from shifting in when not clear of ALWAYS WELCOME, causing that horse to be carried in across the rightful running of CLASSIC NAVIGATOR which as a result was checked. When CLASSIC NAVIGATOR checked, EGYPTIAN RA, CHATEAU KING PRAWN, THE WORLD OF LOVE and GROOM RAIDER were all hampered in consequence. Apprentice Wong was suspended from riding in races for a period to expire on Monday 30 May 2005 on which day he may resume race riding (4 Hong Kong racedays). The commencement of the suspension was deferred until after the Happy Valley racemeeting next Wednesday 11 May 2005. Also near the 800 Metres, HONOUR SUPREME got its head on the side, shifted in and was then steadied away from the heels of SILVER WRAITH which shifted out at the same time. Near the 700 Metres, CLASSIC NAVIGATOR became unbalanced when close to the heels of CLASSA FOR EVER. In the early part of the Straight, EGYPTIAN RA was held up and unable to obtain clear running behind ALWAYS WELCOME and inside BOBO WIN which commenced to give ground. CHATEAU KING PRAWN was sent for an official veterinary inspection and sampling. A veterinary inspection of CHATEAU KING PRAWN after the race did not show any significant findings. CLASSIC NAVIGATOR and CLASSA FOR EVER were sent for sampling.
