Racing Incident Report
GALLANT FALCON was slow to begin. NOBLE HEART began awkwardly, shifted out and bumped KING HESPERUS. Shortly after the start, GOOD HEART was checked when crowded for room between HAPPY CRUSADER and EVER KING which was carried in by HONEY MONEY which on jumping shifted ground. Also shortly after the start, TRAVIANO was steadied when crowded for room inside WIN FOR ALL which shifted in. In the early stages, HAPPY CRUSADER proved difficult to settle. At the 1300 Metres, EVER KING was steadied when crowded for room inside TRAVIANO which was racing tight inside NOBLE HEART. On straightening, GOOD HEART was checked when disappointed for running between CLASSA VICTORY and SUNBELL which drifted out. Near the 200 Metres, FLAMING LAMBORGINI was struck over the nose by the whip of B Prebble (WIN FOR ALL). After the 200 Metres, FLAMING LAMBORGINI endeavoured to shift to the outside of HONEY MONEY to obtain clear running. In doing so, FLAMING LAMBORGINI came into contact with WIN FOR ALL which was hard ridden to maintain his line. Shortly after this, B Prebble turned the head of WIN FOR ALL in, causing it to shift ground and bump FLAMING LAMBORGINI on the hindquarters. As a result of this, FLAMING LAMBORGINI became unbalanced and shifted out, causing WIN FOR ALL to be checked to avoid that horse's heels and in turn caused inconvenience on its outside to NOBLE HEART which was bumped and became unbalanced. B Prebble was told the Stewards appreciate competitive riding at all times and they respect a rider's right to endeavour to hold his racing line, however, there is a limit to how far one can go and he should ensure he does not allow any part of his body to come into contact with another rider. B Prebble was severely reprimanded and told in slightly different circumstances he may be charged with breaching a serious riding Rule. GALLANT FALCON was sent for an official veterinary inspection. A veterinary inspection of GALLANT FALCON after the race did not show any significant findings. FLAMING LAMBORGINI and HONEY MONEY were sent for sampling.
