Racing Incident Report

FIRM OFFER, which was standing badly, leant against the outside of its stall when the gates opened, began awkwardly and lost ground, as a consequence got well back. As the gates opened, DANACOURT sat back, was a little slow to begin, then shortly afterwards was momentarily crowded for room between CHATEAU KING PRAWN and NOBLE CRUSADER which got its head on the side and shifted in slightly. BRAINS TRUST was a little slow to begin, then took time to muster speed and raced wide without cover throughout. DANACOURT made the turn near the 700 Metres awkwardly and when steadying away from the heels of ABLE CHOICE shifted out, causing SANZIRO to be carried wider. For some distance after straightening, DANACOURT, which was endeavouring to obtain clear running, raced tight inside SANZIRO and behind CHATEAU KING PRAWN. When endeavouring to obtain clear running, DANACOURT shifted out and made contact with SANZIRO. For a considerable distance approaching and passing the 300 Metres, ABLE CHOICE had difficulty obtaining clear running. Approaching the 200 Metres, INVERNESS was steadied when held up and unable to improve between FLASHING STAR which got its head on the side and shifted in and OUR JET which shifted out after bumping the running rail. From approaching the 200 Metres until near the 100 Metres, EXPECTATIONS was held up and unable to improve between NOBLE CRUSADER and FLASHING STAR. Because of this, EXPECTATIONS was not fully tested. Over the concluding stages, NOBLE CRUSADER shifted out. SANZIRO was sent for an official veterinary inspection. A veterinary inspection of SANZIRO after the race did not show any significant findings. DANACOURT, NOBLE CRUSADER and FIRM OFFER were sent for sampling.
