Racing Incident Report

When being saddled, SING FAY FAY became fractious and bumped its right shoulder in the saddling stall. After arriving at the Start, SING FAY FAY was examined by the Veterinary Surgeon who said in his opinion it was suitable to race. GREENESSY was slow to begin. On jumping, HAPPY KID blundered. A PLUS FIT from the outside barrier began awkwardly and knuckled, then throughout the race raced wide and without cover and in the Home Straight gave ground and finished tailed off. A PLUS FIT was sent for an official veterinary inspection. After the race, A PLUS FIT was examined by the Veterinary Officer who said there were no significant findings. The performance of A PLUS FIT was considered unacceptable. Before being allowed to race again, A PLUS FIT will have to perform competitively in an official barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination. Shortly after the start, CHATER ROYALE was crowded for room between HAPPY KID and KIDDY SING. In the early stages, GREENESSY raced wide and without cover and after the 1200 Metres was allowed to stride forward. Making the first turn, ROYAL FALCON was momentarily steadied when tightened for room inside SIXTY SECONDS which got its head on the side and shifted away from SING FAY FAY. At the 1000 Metres, KING OF WIN was steadied away from the heels of ROYAL FALCON which itself was endeavouring to shift to the outside of SIXTY SECONDS which was being carried back through the field by SING FAY FAY as that horse allowed GREAT LEADER to take up the lead. As a consequence of SIXTY SECONDS being carried back through the field, ROYAL FALCON was itself carried back to a rearward position. Prior to straightening, ROYAL FALCON was steadied and shifted out away from the heels of KING OF WIN. In the early part of the Straight, SING FAY FAY hung in and caused crowding on its inside to GREAT LEADER. For some distance after straightening, SUPER WONGCHOY had difficulty obtaining running between GREENESSY and HAPPY KID. At the 200 Metres, KIDDY SING was steadied away from the heels of MAGIC TOUCH which shifted out. ROYAL FALCON, SUPER WONGCHOY and GREENESSY were sent for sampling.
