Racing Incident Report
TOY QUEST, LASER POWER and DELIGHTFUL WIN were slow to begin. After the 1000 Metres, POCKET MONEY, which was racing away from the rail, was bumped by SPACED which was endeavouring to shift in. Making the turn at the 800 Metres, POCKET MONEY got its head up when close to the heels of LASER POWER. At this time, inconvenience was caused to BYRON which was racing between POCKET MONEY and SPACED. Also making the turn at the 800 Metres, MAGIC TOUCH was steadied away from the heels of DELIGHTFUL WIN which got its head up and became unbalanced when close to the heels of TOY QUEST. From the 400 Metres until after the 300 Metres, LUCKY DANSKE was held up and unable to improve behind INVERNESS and LUCKY STRAVINSKY. TOY QUEST, which was following LUCKY DANSKE, also had difficulty obtaining clear running for some distance after the 400 Metres. Passing the 400 Metres, BYRON was bumped by LIFELINE RAPIDE. For some distance after this, BYRON had difficulty obtaining clear running between SPACED and LIFELINE RAPIDE. At the 350 Metres, DELIGHTFUL WIN, which had been steadied and shifted to the inside of TOY QUEST in an endeavour to find clear running, was steadied and shifted out when disappointed for that run. After the 100 Metres, TOY QUEST was shifted out to continue going forward. Over the concluding stages, MAGIC TOUCH, which was closing the race off, was unable to improve between BYRON and LIFELINE RAPIDE. Because of this, MAGIC TOUCH was not ridden out to the end of the race. Throughout the race, LIFELINE RAPIDE travelled wide and without cover. BYRON was sent for an official veterinary inspection. A veterinary inspection of BYRON after the race did not show any significant findings. POCKET MONEY and LASER POWER were sent for sampling.
