Racing Incident Report
SNIPER, Standby Declared Starter, was withdrawn on 3.10.06 by order of the Stewards acting on veterinary advice (lame right fore). Before being allowed to race again, SNIPER will be subjected to an official veterinary examination. EVER KING and DONGGUAN VICTORY were slow to begin. After the 1600 Metres, BROWN BEAUTY and SUNNY RIVIERA were steadied away from the heels of PROPELLOR which shifted in when barely clear. Rounding the Home Turn and in the early part of the Straight, TRIUMPH and PURPLE GOLD raced tight due to TRIUMPH endeavouring to shift to the outside of ONE EYE JACK to obtain clear running. In the early part of the Straight, POSA proved difficult to shift to the outside of LA MERVEILLE to obtain clear running, then near the 200 Metres shifted out and made contact with MASTER DREAMER which shifted ground, causing SUNNY RIVIERA to be momentarily steadied. After the 200 Metres, EVER KING was bumped by PROPELLOR which shifted ground after being bumped by BROWN BEAUTY. For the major part of the race, MASTER DREAMER travelled wide and without cover. EVER KING and MASTER DREAMER were sent for an official veterinary inspection. A veterinary inspection of EVER KING and MASTER DREAMER after the race did not show any significant findings. MAVERICK and PURPLE GOLD were sent for sampling.
