Racing Incident Report

On jumping, PALIO KING and SOLDIER ON bumped. In the early stages, MANZIL was reluctant to stride out. In the middle stages and particularly making the turns, WIKI WIKI hung out. For the major part of the race, TRIUMPHANT GLORY travelled wide and without cover. E Saint-Martin (SOLDIER ON), which was dropping back in distance today, said rounding the Home Turn he was following PALIO KING which had TRIUMPHANT GLORY racing to its outside. He said he thought PALIO KING would quicken after straightening, so he elected to remain behind that horse to save ground rounding the Home Turn. He said SOLDIER ON did not quicken itself as he had anticipated in the early part of the Straight, however, improved into a position inside the heels of TRIUMPHANT GLORY. He said for him to then come to the outside would have required him to steady SOLDIER ON and lose ground before shifting out. He said after this he had difficulty obtaining clear running between PALIO KING and TRIUMPHANT GLORY, resulting in him not being able to fully test his mount. PALIO KING was sent for an official veterinary inspection. A veterinary inspection of PALIO KING after the race did not show any significant findings. ACTIVE VALOUR, SUPER FIGHTER and KEEN TAKER were sent for sampling.
