Racing Incident Report

When the start was effected, VIVA MACAU lifted its front feet off the ground, began awkwardly, shifted out and bumped the hindquarters of ABLE ONE. As a result of this, ABLE ONE was awkwardly placed inside the heels of FLYING TAMARI. After the 1800 Metres, GROWL commenced to over-race, became unbalanced and shifted out when being steadied away from the heels of SURVEY SURVEY. This caused some inconvenience to SUPREME GAINS. Approaching and passing the 1200 Metres, VITAL KING proved difficult to settle and near the 1100 Metres was steadied when disappointed for running when endeavouring to shift out from behind SUPREME GAINS and inside ABLE ONE. At the 400 Metres, FLORAL PEGASUS was steadied and shifted to the inside of DOWN TOWN to obtain clear running. In the Straight, FLYING TAMARI and ABLE ONE hung in. Throughout the race, PLASTIC POLYMER travelled wide and without cover. Whilst the Stewards were satisfied the riding of D Beadman (ABLE ONE) over the concluding stages did not affect the horse's finishing position, he nonetheless was told to ensure he rides his mounts out right to the end of the race where possible. C Soumillon (VIVA MACAU) was told he should ride his mounts out at least hands and heels to the end of the race. SURVEY SURVEY was sent for an official veterinary inspection. A veterinary inspection of SURVEY SURVEY after the race did not show any significant findings. VITAL KING and FLORAL PEGASUS were sent for sampling. After the race, it was reported CHAMPIONS GALLERY had lost its left front plate.
