Racing Incident Report

As the start was effected, TIGER PRAWN became fractious and as a consequence was slow to begin. LUCKY RED PEPPER was slow to begin. After the 800 Metres, ROYAL PERICLES was left racing wide and without cover. After the 700 Metres, MASTER POWER became unbalanced when being steadied away from the heels of ROYAL PERICLES. When MASTER POWER became unbalanced, it shifted in and caused some crowding to THE WORLD OF LOVE and TIGER PRAWN. Making the turn at the 600 Metres, TIGER PRAWN lost ground when awkwardly placed between THE WORLD OF LOVE and MASTER POWER. In the early part of the Straight, TIGER PRAWN and MASTER POWER, which was hanging in, raced tight. Over the concluding stages, ISLAND SPEED was awkwardly placed inside the heels of BULLDOZER. Because of this, ISLAND SPEED was not ridden out to the end of the race as it normally would be. A Delpech (ISLAND SPEED) reported over the concluding stages his saddle shifted backwards. M Nunes (FLYING SPRINTER) said he was instructed to ride the horse in a forward position in what was anticipated to be a fast tempo race. He said FLYING SPRINTER began well, he shifted across with ISLAND SPEED in the early stages. He said when BOOM improved around his outside after the 1000 Metres, he elected to allow that horse to cross in front of him as in his opinion he would have been required to make too much use of FLYING SPRINTER to maintain his position outside the lead. TIGER PRAWN was sent for an official veterinary inspection and sampling. VIKING TOR was sent for an official veterinary inspection. A veterinary inspection of TIGER PRAWN and VIKING TOR after the race did not show any significant findings. LUCKY STRAVINSKY and BULLDOZER were sent for sampling.
