Racing Incident Report
NATURAL FATCHOY was slow to begin. On jumping, CLASSIC HORSE, BILLION, LASER TIGER and SUPER GOAL MASTER were taken across behind runners. After the 1000 Metres, A MIRROR, which was proving difficult to settle, was steadied when awkwardly placed between TREASURE COLT and POS TRUMPS which shifted in. Approaching the turn at the 800 Metres, BITE MY DUST (G Boss) made contact with MASCOT FORTUNE on several occasions, resulting in MASCOT FORTUNE being carried towards the rail. After the 800 Metres, MASCOT FORTUNE became unbalanced when crowded for room inside BITE MY DUST. G Boss was told whilst the Stewards appreciate competitive riding, there is a limit to how far one can go and whilst on this occasion he had not breached the Rules, in slightly different circumstances he could find himself to be in breach of a serious Rule. At the 400 Metres, MASCOT FORTUNE was checked when disappointed for running between BITE MY DUST and POS TRUMPS which at this time had its head on the side and was hanging out. Near the 200 Metres, MONTE CRISTO was steadied when disappointed for running between CLASSIC HORSE and LUCKY DRAGON, both of which shifted ground. No action was taken. After the 100 Metres, LUCKY DRAGON was carried in by CLASSIC HORSE which shifted ground while hanging. Over the concluding stages, LASER TIGER hung in and proved difficult to ride. Throughout the race, BILLION travelled wide and without cover and making the turns hung out. POS TRUMPS and NATURAL FATCHOY were sent for an official veterinary inspection. A veterinary inspection of POS TRUMPS and NATURAL FATCHOY after the race did not show any significant findings. TREASURE COLT and MASCOT FORTUNE were sent for sampling.
