Racing Incident Report
NATURAL ECHO was withdrawn on 8.4.08 by order of the Stewards acting on veterinary advice (lame left fore). SAMMY’S FORTUNE was withdrawn on raceday morning by order of the Stewards acting on veterinary advice (lame left fore foot). Before being allowed to race again, NATURAL ECHO and SAMMY’S FORTUNE will both be subjected to an official veterinary examination. FLYING PROFILE was slow into stride. In the early stages, when being ridden along to go forward, SHOW BRAVELY travelled wide and without cover. Making the Home Turn, CHALLENGER was held up and unable to improve. At the 400 Metres, DANZIGMOUNTAIN was steadied and shifted out away from the heels of BARRACUDA which was giving ground. The performances of BARRACUDA and SHOW BRAVELY, which tailed out, were considered unacceptable. Before being permitted to race again, BARRACUDA and SHOW BRAVELY will both be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in an official barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination. SHOW BRAVELY was sent for an official veterinary inspection. A veterinary inspection of SHOW BRAVELY after the race did not show any significant findings. RED FORTUNE and VITALITY CHAMP were sent for sampling.
