Racing Incident Report

BLEDISLOE began awkwardly, got its head up and consequently was slow to begin. ROCKET POWER and SURE FORWARD were slow to begin. Passing the 1000 Metres, SUPER CAGA was momentarily crowded for room between CHANTILLY and KINGSTON SPARTACUS which shifted in. KINGSTON SPARTACUS was then shifted out to relieve the tightening to SUPER CAGA. At the 200 Metres, CHANTILLY was steadied when crowded for room inside ABLE DRAGON which itself was steadied when taken in by KINGSTON SPARTACUS which was also taken in by KING ON EARTH which in turn was taken in by SURE FORWARD (T Angland). T Angland was reprimanded and advised to ensure that he keeps his mounts on a straight course in future. Over the concluding stages, ROCKET POWER raced awkwardly close to the heels of SURROUNDED. For the majority of the race, KING ON EARTH and AMAZING JOURNEY travelled wide and without cover. A veterinary inspection of SUISSE D’OR after the race including an endoscopic examination showed a substantial amount of mucopus in the horse's trachea. A veterinary inspection of SUPER CAGA and SUPER BOBO after the race did not show any significant findings. SURROUNDED, SURE FORWARD and HORSESHOE FORTUNE were sent for sampling.
