Racing Incident Report
After entering the track, B Prebble was dislodged from SILVER DRAGON. B Prebble remounted without incident and SILVER DRAGON proceeded to the Start. FORTUNE SIX was fractious in the barriers and as the start was effected lifted its front feet off the ground and was slow to begin. From wide barriers, AMBITIOUS OWNER and NICHOLSON were taken across behind runners shortly after the start. For some distance after the start, HONEY FORTUNE raced tight inside CHANCELLOR which got its head on the side and shifted in. Passing the 1300 Metres, MOCHI proved very difficult to settle and shifted out when being checked away from the heels of ROCK’N TYPHOON. This resulted in ALP’S GLORY being taken out onto FORTUNE SIX which in turn was taken out onto HAPPY FOREVER, causing both those horses to be badly hampered when taken wider. MINGS’ HERO and AMBITIOUS OWNER, which were following, were hampered in consequence. After this, MOCHI proved very difficult to settle and after the 1000 Metres was left racing wide and without cover. For some distance approaching and passing the 1000 Metres, SILVER DRAGON proved difficult to settle and was awkwardly placed close to the heels of MOCHI. Near the 100 Metres, AMBITIOUS OWNER was steadied and shifted to the outside of SILVER DRAGON when disappointed for running between that horse and MOCHI. Throughout the race, ROCK’N TYPHOON travelled wide and without cover. A veterinary inspection of SURVEY SURVEY after the race did not show any significant findings, however, the horse was unable to be scoped. ROCK’N TYPHOON and CHANCELLOR were sent for sampling.
