Racing Incident Report

SAPELLI was withdrawn on raceday morning by order of the Stewards acting on veterinary advice (swollen right fore tendon). Before being allowed to race again, SAPELLI will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
Just prior to the start being effected, DOMINANT became very fractious and as the start was effected reared and lost a considerable amount of ground. Before being allowed to race again, DOMINANT will be required to perform satisfactorily in a stalls test.
Despite being ridden along in the early stages, LIBERATOR failed to muster speed and for the major part of the race travelled wide and without cover.
After the 1500 Metres, FULFIL A WISH was awkwardly placed close to the heels of VOILE ROUGE for some distance.
After the 1400 Metres, LITTLE DREAMS was severely checked away from the heels of PACKING TYCOON which itself was awkwardly placed close to the heels of SCARLET CAMELLIA.
Approaching the 300 Metres, DAN EXCEL was steadied when crowded for room between LIBERATOR and SAME WORLD, both of which shifted slight ground. After this, DAN EXCEL got its head on the side and hung in towards the heels of LIBERATOR.
PACKING WHIZ had difficulty obtaining clear running until passing the 300 Metres.
After the 200 Metres, DOMINANT, which was finishing off the race strongly, was checked away from the heels of VOILE ROUGE which shifted out slightly under pressure.
Near the 150 Metres, SCARLET CAMELLIA was struck over the nose by the whip of Y T Cheng (SAME WORLD).
After the race, T H So (VOILE ROUGE) reported that his mount proved difficult to settle in the early and middle stages when racing in the lead and despite his efforts travelled at a stronger tempo than he would have hoped.
A veterinary inspection of LIBERATOR, BEAUTY FLASH and DAN EXCEL after the race did not show any significant findings.
PACKING WHIZ and DOMINANT were sent for sampling.
