Racing Incident Report

EMPIRE STAR began only fairly and then lost ground when crowded for room between CASHIN MINISTER and SMART CHARADE which shifted out after being bumped by SUNNY POWER.
From the outside barriers, EVER LAUGH and FLYING LOVER were steadied in the early stages and shifted across behind runners.
Despite being vigorously ridden in the early stages, GORGEOUS AGAIN failed to muster speed.
Passing the 1500 Metres, SUNNY POWER was inconvenienced by KING KANALOA which got its head on the side and shifted out away from SPEEDY WALLY.
Passing the 1300 Metres, SUNNY POWER raced tight between KING KANALOA and GOLDEN FOUR (C Schofield) which shifted in marginally when not quite clear. This incident was exacerbated by KING KANALOA again getting its head on the side and shifting out from SPEEDY WALLY. C Schofield was advised to ensure that he is properly clear when shifting ground in similar circumstances. Then approaching the 1200 Metres, KING KANALOA, which continued to shift out, was awkwardly placed inside the heels of GOLDEN FOUR.
Near the 1150 Metres, KING KANALOA momentarily raced tight between SPEEDY WALLY and SUNNY POWER which shifted in.
Passing the 1050 Metres, EMPIRE STAR and KING KANALOA raced tight inside SUNNY POWER.
After the race, A Sanna expressed concern regarding the action of SMART CHARADE. A veterinary inspection of SMART CHARADE immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. Before being allowed to race again, SMART CHARADE will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
A veterinary inspection of CASHIN MINISTER immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
SUNNY POWER, CHEERFUL BOY and YOUNG GLORY were sent for sampling.
