Racing Incident Report

MASTER BERNINI was crowded for room on jumping between GORGEOUS AGAIN and LITTLE FANTASY which shifted in abruptly.
MI BLANCO began only fairly.
On jumping, SWEET BEAN was crowded for room between TRAVEL AMBASSADOR and COURT RULER which shifted in. From a wide barrier, SWEET BEAN was then shifted across behind runners in the early stages.

Passing the winning post on the first occasion, MASTER BERNINI, which was being ridden along, was awkwardly placed close to the heels of CORRE RAPIDO which was being steadied to obtain cover behind LITTLE FANTASY.
Making the turn after passing the winning post on the first occasion, ENJOYABLE SUCCESS raced tight inside LUCKY SHINY DAY which got its head on the side and lay in. A short distance after this, ENJOYABLE SUCCESS and LUCKY SHINY DAY raced tight inside CORRE RAPIDO which shifted in before being directed out abruptly to relieve the tightening to both horses.
After the 1400 Metres, MI BLANCO momentarily raced in restricted room between GORGEOUS AGAIN and MASTER BERNINI which shifted in before being shifted back out to relieve the tightening to MI BLANCO.
COURT RULER travelled wide and without cover until passing the 1100 Metres at which time the horse was able to shift in to race outside the lead.
Near the 1000 Metres, MASTER BERNINI was left racing wide and without cover.
Near the 800 Metres, MI BLANCO got its head on the side and shifted in of its own accord, resulting in the horse being awkwardly placed outside the heels of GORGEOUS AGAIN.
Passing the 450 Metres, DRAGON WARRIOR raced tight inside PENZANCE which, after initially shifting to the outside of JIN JIN KING, then commenced to lay in.
Rounding the Home Turn, TRAVEL AMBASSADOR lay in and was reluctant to shift to the outside of runners.
Passing the 300 Metres, ENJOYABLE SUCCESS was shifted to the inside of LITTLE FANTASY after being disappointed for running between that horse and CORRE RAPIDO.
After the race, J Moreira was not able to offer any excuse for the disappointing performance of LUCKY SHINY DAY. He said the horse travelled well during the race in about a midfield position, however, when placed under pressure in the Straight did not close off the race as anticipated. A veterinary inspection of LUCKY SHINY DAY immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. The performance of LUCKY SHINY DAY, favourite for today’s race, was considered unacceptable. Before being allowed to race again, LUCKY SHINY DAY will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
A veterinary inspection of MASTER BERNINI, MI BLANCO and CORRE RAPIDO immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
LUCKY SHINY DAY, SWEET BEAN and ENJOYABLE SUCCESS were sent for sampling.
