Racing Incident Report

FOXHUNTER WAY shifted in at the start, resulting in SWIFT SPIRIT being crowded for room outside STRATHMORETOO which was inconvenienced.
HEARTY WISH began awkwardly and lost ground.
FLYING VICTORY began awkwardly and then was brushed by COURAGEOUS KNIGHT which shifted in.
From the outside barriers, MILLENNIUM FALCON, PLIKCLONE, BEST FOR YOU and EMBARKED were all shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
After travelling a short distance, FLYING VICTORY, which was being steadied to obtain cover, became unbalanced when bumped by VIVA HUNTER which also became unbalanced as a result of being bumped by CHEERFUL LEADER which shifted out when being ridden along. Then approaching the 1200 Metres, VIVA HUNTER got its head up when awkwardly placed outside the heels of CHEERFUL LEADER as VIVA HUNTER was being steadied to obtain cover behind that horse.
MILLENNIUM FALCON travelled keenly in the early and middle stages and after the 900 Metres got its head up when awkwardly placed behind COURAGEOUS KNIGHT.
FLYING VICTORY was left racing wide and without cover after the 900 Metres.
For the majority of the race, LEGEND GOES travelled very wide and without cover and near the 700 Metres was ridden along to improve its position, however, continued to race very wide and without cover.
After the 700 Metres, MILLENNIUM FALCON, which was continuing to travel keenly, was shifted out away from the heels of COURAGEOUS KNIGHT which was awkwardly placed close to the heels of VIVA HUNTER. After this, COURAGEOUS KNIGHT lay out and approaching the 500 Metres shifted out when close to the heels of CHEERFUL LEADER.
MILLENNIUM FALCON was held up for clear running rounding the Home Turn and in the early part of the Straight.
At the entrance to the Straight, COURAGEOUS KNIGHT shifted out and was awkwardly placed inside the heels of VIVA HUNTER. COURAGEOUS KNIGHT had some difficulty obtaining clear running in the early part of the Straight and approaching the 200 Metres was awkwardly placed close to the heels of FLYING VICTORY when held up for running behind that horse. COURAGEOUS KNIGHT was shifted in away from the heels of FLYING VICTORY at the 200 Metres and bumped MILLENNIUM FALCON. COURAGEOUS KNIGHT then lost ground after being unable to improve between MILLENNIUM FALCON and FLYING VICTORY where there was insufficient room.
SWIFT SPIRIT had difficulty obtaining clear running in the early part of the Straight. SWIFT SPIRIT was then unable to obtain clear running until the concluding stages and because of this was not able to be properly tested.
Passing the 300 Metres, FLYING VICTORY lay in under pressure.
Passing the 200 Metres, PLIKCLONE and LEGEND GOES brushed.
A veterinary inspection of COURAGEOUS KNIGHT, CHEERFUL LEADER and HEARTY WISH immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
MILLENNIUM FALCON, BEST FOR YOU and PLIKCLONE were sent for sampling.
<15/11/2021 Additional Veterinary Reports>COURAGEOUS KNIGHT, which performed poorly, was examined by the Veterinary Officer who said at that time there were no significant findings. COURAGEOUS KNIGHT was again examined by the Veterinary Officer at the stables of Trainer C S Shum yesterday morning. He said at this time he noted the horse to be lame in its right front leg. Before being allowed to race again, COURAGEOUS KNIGHT will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
