Racing Incident Report

BULB PRINCE lifted its front feet off the ground as the start was effected and began only fairly.
From a wide barrier, MELBOURNE HALL was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
WINS ALL was also steadied in the early stages to obtain a position closer to the rail.
Making the turn near the 1050 Metres, TAKE WHAT YOU NEED raced tight inside CHARMING STEED (K H Chan) which shifted in when being ridden along before being directed out to relieve the crowding to TAKE WHAT YOU NEED. K H Chan was advised to exercise more care in similar circumstances.
Near the 1050 Metres, BULB PRINCE was awkwardly placed close to the heels of FIGHTING STAR which was being steadied to allow PLEASANT ENDEAVOR to cross.
At the entrance to the Straight, MELBOURNE HALL was steadied when disappointed for running between BULB PRINCE and COMMON ROOM which shifted in. MELBOURNE HALL was then directed to the inside of BULB PRINCE and approaching the 200 Metres raced tight inside that horse which got its head on the side and lay in away from COMMON ROOM. After this, MELBOURNE HALL lay out under pressure.
Throughout the race, HANDSOME GUYS travelled wide and without cover.
After the race, J Moreira (SHINING FORTUNE) stated that after being steadied from the outside barrier to obtain cover in the early stages, he was able to improve his position along the Back Straight to be racing behind HANDSOME GUYS in a three wide position. He said after being awkwardly placed behind HANDSOME GUYS after the 600 Metres when that horse came under pressure, he shifted SHINING FORTUNE to the outside of HANDSOME GUYS near the 450 Metres. He said after this SHINING FORTUNE did not finish the race off strongly. A veterinary inspection of SHINING FORTUNE immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
A veterinary inspection of CHARMING STEED immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
PLEASANT ENDEAVOR and TAKE WHAT YOU NEED were sent for sampling.
