Racing Incident Report

MASTER MONTARO was withdrawn on 4.6.22 by order of the Stewards acting on veterinary advice (lame right fore). Before being allowed to race again, MASTER MONTARO will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
NAVAS TWO began only fairly.
BEAUTY FIT began awkwardly and then shifted in, resulting in LUCKY SWEYNESSE being crowded for room outside WINNER METHOD.
After the 1200 Metres, LUCKY SWEYNESSE commenced to travel keenly when being steadied to obtain cover and got its head up on a number of occasions and after the 1000 Metres was steadied away from the heels of HINCHINLOVE when continuing to prove difficult to settle. When LUCKY SWEYNESSE was travelling keenly, WINNER METHOD (K Teetan) shifted out when racing close to the heels of that horse, resulting in MASTER DELIGHT being taken wider. When WINNER METHOD shifted back in, LUCKY WITH YOU, which had improved to be racing inside the heels of WINNER METHOD, was taken in, resulting in NAVAS TWO being hampered when crowded for room. K Teetan was severely reprimanded and advised that whilst there were some circumstances to this incident, nonetheless he has an obligation to ensure that he is properly clear of other runners when shifting ground to resume a position.
Near the 1000 Metres, BEAUTY FIT was left racing wide and without cover.
Passing the 300 Metres, LUCKY WITH YOU raced tight inside the hindquarters of MASTER DELIGHT. Then passing the 250 Metres, LUCKY WITH YOU again momentarily raced in restricted room between MASTER DELIGHT and GOOD LUCK FRIEND, both of which shifted ground marginally.
Passing the 100 Metres, BEAUTY FIT was steadied when crowded for room between HINCHINLOVE which shifted out and LUCKY SWEYNESSE which lay in under pressure in the Straight.
When questioned, J Moreira (MASTER DELIGHT) stated that after being taken wider passing the 900 Metres he had a number of looks to his inside to establish where WINNER METHOD and other horses to its inside were positioned to ensure that he did not cause interference. He said after the 700 Metres he was able to establish that he had cleared WINNER METHOD and obtained a position racing outside LUCKY SWEYNESSE. He said prior to the Home Turn MASTER DELIGHT came under pressure and he was unable to prevent LUCKY SWEYNESSE from shifting out to his inside. He said at the entrance to the Straight he had two looks to his inside to establish whether other runners behind LUCKY SWEYNESSE were improving their positions with that horse given that his mount was commencing to give ground. He added that after this MASTER DELIGHT again came under pressure and near the 300 Metres he received a call from Z Purton, the rider of LUCKY WITH YOU. He said as he was awkwardly placed inside THE GOLDEN SCENERY at this time, he was not able to immediately shift out to ensure that LUCKY WITH YOU had sufficient room to be able to improve to his inside. He said once THE GOLDEN SCENERY was able to improve its position forward of MASTER DELIGHT, he was able to direct his mount out to ensure that runners to his inside had comfortable racing room.
A veterinary inspection of LUCKY WITH YOU and GOOD LUCK FRIEND immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
LUCKY WITH YOU, LUCKY SWEYNESSE and NAVAS TWO were sent for sampling.
