Racing Incident Report

EVERYONE’S VICTORY was crowded for room on jumping between HELENE WISDOM STAR which shifted in marginally and CALL ME TEDDY which shifted out.
SUPER WIN DRAGON shifted in at the start and inconvenienced LUCKY FUN.
GOLDEN WARSTEED shifted in on jumping and bumped MR VALIANT, resulting in both horses becoming unbalanced. GOLDEN WARSTEED then shifted out and hampered RED DESERT. RED DESERT was then shifted across behind runners in the early stages from a wide barrier.
Near the 1100 Metres, CZARSON, which was being ridden along, was steadied away from the heels of SUPER WIN DRAGON and in doing so shifted in and inconvenienced HELENE WISDOM STAR.
GOLDEN WARSTEED was left racing wide and without cover approaching the 700 Metres.
After the 700 Metres, RED DESERT commenced to travel keenly and got its head up when awkwardly placed behind GOLDEN WARSTEED.
KAI XIN DRAGON lay out rounding the Home Turn.
The performance of GOLDEN WARSTEED, which finished tailed out, was considered unacceptable. Before being allowed to race again, GOLDEN WARSTEED will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
After the race, S De Sousa stated that CALL ME TEDDY travelled only fairly in the middle stages. He said after being briefly held up for clear running in the early part of the Straight, CALL ME TEDDY was not able to quicken and improve when the gap appeared for CALL ME TEDDY to proceed into. He said after this despite being ridden along CALL ME TEDDY did not respond to his riding and weakened noticeably over the concluding stages. He said the only reason he could put down for the horse’s disappointing run was that it may not have appreciated today’s sealed track as CALL ME TEDDY did not stretch out over the latter stages of the race as he thought it should. A veterinary inspection of CALL ME TEDDY immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. The performance of CALL ME TEDDY, favourite for today’s race, was considered unacceptable. Before being allowed to race again, CALL ME TEDDY will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
After the race, it was reported that KAI XIN DRAGON had bled from both nostrils.
CALL ME TEDDY, SUPER WIN DRAGON and MAN STAR were sent for sampling.
<19/9/2022 Additional Veterinary Reports>After the race, it was reported that KAI XIN DRAGON had bled from both nostrils. KAI XIN DRAGON was again examined by the Veterinary Officer at the stables of Trainer D A Hayes this morning. He said at this time he noted the horse to be lame in its right hind leg. Before being allowed to race again, KAI XIN DRAGON will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
