Racing Incident Report
WINE AND WINE lifted its front feet off the ground as the start was effected and then lost ground when crowded for room between OUR LUCKY GLORY which shifted out abruptly despite the efforts of its rider and SMART IDEA which was taken in by SUPER EAGLE which in turn was taken in by FLYING ACE which shifted in abruptly. After being crowded for room on jumping, WINE AND WINE was ridden along to improve its position and approaching the 1000 Metres was shifted out away from the heels of YO BEAUTY.
DROPS OF GOD lost its right front plate on jumping.
From wide barriers, GALLANT WAKING, COPARTNER FIONN and MASTER TORNADO were all shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
After being steadied in the early stages to obtain cover, SUPER EAGLE travelled keenly and for some distance approaching and passing the 1100 Metres was awkwardly placed behind SMART IDEA.
When being steadied to obtain cover behind DECRYPT, OUR LUCKY GLORY travelled keenly passing the 1100 Metres.
OUR LUCKY GLORY made the turn near the 1050 Metres awkwardly when proving difficult to settle. SUPER EAGLE, which was racing to the outside of OUR LUCKY GLORY, was hampered in consequence. SUPER EAGLE was then steadied after the 900 Metres to obtain cover behind OUR LUCKY GLORY.
After the 700 Metres, SMART IDEA was taken wider and without cover by DROPS OF GOD which shifted out. DROPS OF GOD then commenced to travel keenly and near the 600 Metres became unbalanced when being steadied away from the heels of WINE AND WINE.
At the entrance to the Straight, DROPS OF GOD was awkwardly placed behind WINE AND WINE. When DROPS OF GOD was shifted out, DECRYPT, which was following DROPS OF GOD, was awkwardly placed behind that horse and then near the 300 Metres was disappointed for running between DROPS OF GOD and OUR LUCKY GLORY.
Approaching the 300 Metres, WINE AND WINE was brushed by FLYING ACE which shifted out. WINE AND WINE then shifted out away from the heels of FLYING ACE and bumped the hindquarters of SMART IDEA which also shifted in marginally. This resulted in WINE AND WINE losing ground and SMART IDEA becoming unbalanced.
Over the concluding stages, OUR LUCKY GLORY was awkwardly placed inside the heels of GALLANT WAKING which shifted in under pressure.
A veterinary inspection of DROPS OF GOD immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
FLYING ACE, GALLANT WAKING and YO BEAUTY were sent for sampling.
