Racing Incident Report

NOBLE BOYZ was withdrawn on 28.4.23 by order of the Stewards acting on veterinary advice (lame left fore) and was replaced by Standby Declared Starter EIGHT TRIGRAMS (M F Poon). Before being allowed to race again, NOBLE BOYZ will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
When entering the Parade Ring, TACTICAL COMMAND made contact with a rail. TACTICAL COMMAND was examined by the Veterinary Officer and passed suitable to race.
GOOD BOY was slow to begin and then soon afterwards was crowded between GREEN N WHITE which was taken in by TACTICAL COMMAND and EIGHT TRIGRAMS which shifted out.
ALWAYS BEAUTIFUL was slow to begin.
CALL ME DANDY jumped awkwardly and lost ground.
From the outside barrier, REGENCY BO BO was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
After travelling a short distance, TACTICAL COMMAND raced tight to the inside of BRAVE AND BOLD which shifted in before being corrected by its rider, V Borges. Then near the 1000 Metres, TACTICAL COMMAND was steadied to avoid GREEN N WHITE which shifted out slightly.
Passing the 900 Metres, ALWAYS BEAUTIFUL was momentarily crowded by EASY SNIP which lay in before being corrected by its rider, C L Chau.
After the 800 Metres, SUPER CONTENTED was left racing wide and without cover.
Approaching the 350 Metres, GLUCK RACER endeavoured to obtain clear running to the outside of CALL ME DANDY and in doing so made contact with SUPER CONTENTED. GLUCK RACER then had difficulty obtaining clear running until near the 300 Metres. Again approaching the 150 Metres, GLUCK RACER became held up behind CALL ME DANDY before being shifted to that runner’s outside at the 125 Metres.
Near the 125 Metres, BRAVE AND BOLD was shifted to the inside of GOOD BOY to obtain clear running. Then over the final 50 Metres, BRAVE AND BOLD could not be ridden out when held up between GOOD BOY and EIGHT TRIGRAMS which was giving ground.
TRUST ME raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event.
When question regarding the performance of BEAUTY DESTINY, Z Purton reported that his mount, which was having its first race start, travelled comfortably throughout the early and middle stages. He said when placed under pressure near the 300 Metres, BEAUTY DESTINY was inclined to race greenly and lay in and did not respond to his riding well. A veterinary inspection of BEAUTY DESTINY immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

BEAUTY DESTINY, LUCKY ENCOUNTER and GREEN N WHITE were sent for sampling.
