Racing Incident Report
On jumping, DOUBLE SHOW was crowded by TRAVEL GLORY which shifted in, resulting in DOUBLE SHOW making contact with the hindquarters of GIVE WAY PLEASE which was crowded onto FINGERS CROSSED. DOUBLE SHOW was then shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
GIVE WAY PLEASE lost its left hind plate at the start.
Approaching the 350 Metres, WIN WIN CHARITY was steadied when disappointed for clear running between PRECISION GOAL which shifted in slightly and FORTUNE MASTER which shifted to the outside of GIVE WAY PLEASE to secure clear running. Again near the 200 Metres, WIN WIN CHARITY was held up for a short distance behind GIVE WAY PLEASE when that runner commenced to give ground.
GIVE WAY PLEASE raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event.
After the race, K Teetan (YOUNG SPARKLE) reported that after jumping awkwardly at the start, his mount lost ground. He said whilst YOUNG SPARKLE was obliged to race three wide, it travelled comfortably, but when placed under pressure in the Home Straight failed to respond to his riding. A veterinary inspection of YOUNG SPARKLE immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Also after the race, Z Purton (FINGERS CROSSED) could offer no explanation for the disappointing performance of his mount. A veterinary inspection of FINGERS CROSSED immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Following the race, M Chadwick (VIVA A LA) stated that his mount was pressured when racing outside the lead and was unable to finish the race off. A veterinary inspection of VIVA A LA immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
After the race, GIVE WAY PLEASE was found to have sustained an abrasion to the left hind heel.
A veterinary inspection of TRAVEL GLORY immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
MAXIMIZE HEART and MIRACLES were sent for sampling.
