1 8 GALLANT VALOUR (H323) Bumped on the Home Turn. Sent for sampling post-race.
2 12 SUPER EAGLE (G408) Crowded shortly after the start. Sent for sampling post-race.
3 5 COPARTNER PRANCE (H408) Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event.
4 1 TOP TOP TEA (H048) Jumped awkwardly. When being crossed by BALLISTIC WIN near the 600 Metres commenced to race ungenerously, shifted in and away from BALLISTIC WIN and became unbalanced. For some distance near the 200 Metres had difficulty obtaining clear running when positioned behind GALLANT VALOUR.
5 6 FLYING PHANTOM (J086) Approaching the 1000 Metres raced keenly when briefly crowded between BALLISTIC WIN which was racing tight to the inside of E BROTHER and GALLANT GOODY which shifted out slightly. Near the 600 Metres raced tight to the inside of COPARTNER PRANCE and at the 550 Metres got its head up when being steadied away from E BROTHER. On the Home Turn was bumped and taken wider by GALLANT VALOUR which shifted to the outside of E BROTHER to improve.
6 7 SKY PROPHET (J095) Crowded on jumping and then from a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages. Approaching the 900 Metres shifted out when being steadied away from SUPER EAGLE.
7 2 WINNING HEART (H065) No report.
8 4 BALLISTIC WIN (J040) For some distance after the 400 Metres was awkwardly placed on the heels of FLYING PHANTOM.
9 11 JOY FOR YOU (H270) When racing keenly after the 900 Metres was steadied away from WINNING HEART. Near the 600 Metres was briefly crowded.
10 3 E BROTHER (E266) After the race, K C Leung reported that he was obliged to make use of his mount in the early stages to take up a position outside the lead whereby E BROTHER then over-raced throughout the early and middle stages. He added as a result E BROTHER was left without a finishing effort in the Home Straight. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. <21/12/2023 Additional Veterinary Reports> E BROTHER, which performed disappointingly, was examined by the Veterinary Officer who said at that time there were no significant findings. E BROTHER was again examined by the Veterinary Officer at the stables of Trainer K L Man this morning. He said at this time he noted the horse to be lame in its right front leg. Before being allowed to race again, E BROTHER will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
11 9 STERLING WONGCHOY (H273) Jumped awkwardly and from the outside barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
12 10 GALLANT GOODY (H434) After the race, A Atzeni stated that he was instructed to take up a forward position and his mount showed sufficient pace to lead, but gave ground when placed under pressure in the Home Straight. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
