5 1 WOOD ON FIRE (C460) After the race, K C Leung confirmed that from a wide barrier he was requested to obtain cover on WOOD ON FIRE and as a result his mount settled towards the back of the field in order to comply with his instructions. Trainer C W Chang confirmed that having regard to the manner in which WOOD ON FIRE had raced at its previous race start with cover when it ran out on the first turn, he asked Jockey Leung to ensure that WOOD ON FIRE settled comfortably in the early stages.
6 9 TATTENHAM (H121) Bumped at the start.
7 2 KILINDINI (E236) A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
8 6 WINNING HEART (H065) Crowded shortly after the start. After the race, L Hewitson reported that his mount enjoyed a good run in the event and, in his opinion, was looking for additional distance. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
9 10 HERO STAR (D033) No report.
10 8 SEE U AGAIN (G247) Fractious in the barriers, jumped awkwardly and made contact with TATTENHAM. Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
11 7 FURY AND GOLD (H202) Slow to begin.
12 5 GORGEOUS VITALITY (G051) After the race, H Bowman stated that his mount did not stretch out fully when placed under pressure in the Home Straight. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. The performance of GORGEOUS VITALITY was considered to be disappointing as compared to its previous race starts. Before being allowed to race again, GORGEOUS VITALITY will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
