Racing Incident Report

Pla. Horse No. Horse Incident
8 VIVA A LA (G282) Bumped on jumping. Sent for sampling post-race.
5 DOUBLE SHOW (G250) Shifted in shortly after the start whilst being corrected by its rider L Ferraris. Lay in in the Home Straight. Noted to have sustained a small laceration to the right hind leg. Sent for sampling post-race.
11 DEVIL AND GOLD (G443) Jumped only fairly and was bumped shortly after the start. Leaving the 600 Metres was steadied away from VIVA A LA.
9 EASY TWO (G423) Near the 600 Metres was checked when crowded between VIVA A LA which, after being bumped by EASY TWO, shifted out slightly and AUGUST MOON which hung in despite the efforts of its rider Apprentice Y L Chung. As the Stewards were satisfied that Apprentice Chung had made sufficient effort to prevent his mount from shifting in, no action was taken.
1 WIND SPEEDER (E281) No report.
4 GENERAL ACE (G425) Crowded shortly after the start. Leaving the 600 Metres was checked to avoid EASY TWO. Approaching the 300 Metres was eased when positioned close to EASY TWO. Then raced tight near the 250 Metres between EASY TWO and DEVIL AND GOLD which shifted out, resulting in GENERAL ACE being held up for clear running until the 100 Metres. Lay in over the concluding stages and proved difficult to ride out.
10 CIRCUIT SPLENDOR (E482) After the race, K Teetan reported that after holding a forward position CIRCUIT SPLENDOR failed to respond to his riding in the Home Straight and raced in a disappointing manner. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
7 HAPPILY FRIENDS (C533) No report.
2 GOOD VIEW GLORY (H154) Stumbled on jumping and then shortly after the start was checked when crowded between EASY TWO and GENERAL ACE which was taken in by DOUBLE SHOW when that runner shifted in whilst being corrected by its rider L Ferraris. Leaving the 1100 Metres was steadied when crowded between DEVIL AND GOLD which shifted out slightly and GENERAL ACE which shifted in before being corrected by its rider.
3 SUPER ELITE (H247) After the race, H Bentley reported that approaching the 250 Metres his mount was reluctant to improve into a narrow run between HAPPILY FRIENDS and CIRCUIT SPLENDOR which resulted in SUPER ELITE having some difficulty obtaining clear running. He added over the final 150 Metres when the run narrowed SUPER ELITE could not be ridden out from that point to the finish of the event. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
12 NOIR RIDER (E138) Shortly after the start was crowded between HAPPILY FRIENDS and AUGUST MOON, both of which shifted ground. Despite being ridden along thereafter NOIR RIDER failed to show sufficient pace to hold a more forward position. Near the 550 Metres got its head up when being steadied away from GENERAL ACE. Approaching the 200 Metres was shifted to the inside of SUPER ELITE to obtain clear running, but over the final 100 Metres was held up when positioned behind HAPPILY FRIENDS as that runner commenced to give ground. As a result NOIR RIDER was held up and could not be ridden out to the finish of the event.
6 AUGUST MOON (D409) Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event. Hung in near the 600 Metres. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
