He said when that rider commenced to ride his mount along and the horse did not quicken as he had anticipated, he then shifted to the inside of that runner approaching the 300M to obtain clear running. The Stewards found the tactics adopted by the rider, having regard to his explanation, were reasonable in the circumstances - Race 717. |
