4 D258  SO AWESOME  26/06/2024   774  SO AWESOME (D258) when questioned, rider stated that the instructions were to hold an on-pace position and to obtain cover if possible. He said in the early stages when positioned to the outside of a runner, he was of the opinion that he would have had to severely restrain his mount to obtain a trailing position behind that runner and as a consequence he elected to remain positioned to its outside. He said entering the Back Straight he had expected that runner to attempt to look for cover and as a result he then encouraged his mount forward to cross that runner. He added when his mount did not show sufficient pace to cross that runner, he was obliged to race wide and without cover for the majority of the event - Race 774.
5 H253  CERVIN  14/07/2024   821  CERVIN (H253) was slow to begin and from the outside barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages. Near the 450M was steadied and shifted out to obtain clear running - Race 821.
6 D050  LUCKY QUALITY  08/09/2024   2  LUCKY QUALITY (D050) after the event, rider reported that his mount travelled comfortably in the run, but when placed under pressure in the early part of the Home Straight did not respond and raced in a disappointing manner. Post-race vet inspection did not show any significant findings - Race 002.

Finished tailed out and performance was considered unacceptable. Has since performed to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and passed an official vet exam - Race 793.
8 H404  CALIFORNIA ICON  14/07/2024   823  CALIFORNIA ICON (H404) shifted out at the start, was bumped on the hindquarters and became unbalanced. Lay out making the Home Turn and shifted out and away from a runner when that runner was being shifted out to obtain clear running after the 500M - Race 823.

10 H011  COOL BLUE  06/07/2024   803  COOL BLUE (H011) after the race, rider reported that his mount was reluctant to hold its position between two runners throughout the middle stages of the event and as a result was hard ridden through that section of the race. He added in the Home Straight his mount failed to respond to his riding and raced in a disappointing manner. Trainer advised that he would not race the horse for the remainder of the season. Post-race vet inspection did not show any significant findings - Race 803.

12 D500  SOARING TOWER  17/12/2023   251  SOARING TOWER (D500) on arrival at the barriers was examined by the vet who said the horse was lame in its right front leg and as such was not suitable to race. Was withdrawn by order of the Stewards on that advice. Has since passed an official vet exam with additional diagnostic assessments included - Race 251.
13 G437  CHARMANDER  06/07/2024   804  CHARMANDER (G437) after the race, rider reported that he was instructed to be positive early and to place his mount where it raced most comfortably. He said with the slow pace early, he made a decision to go forward and lead. Trainer confirmed the instructions issued, particularly as it was racing with visors for the first time - Race 804.
