Trainer stated that, in his opinion, the horse is still immature and that may have been the reason for it performing below expectation as compared to its previous race starts. Post-race vet inspection did not show any significant findings. Performance compared to its previous race starts was considered to be disappointing. Has since performed to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and passed an official vet exam - Race 113.
4 J426  CORLEONE  03/11/2024   149  CORLEONE (J426) between the 300M and the 100M raced tight. Near the 100M was being steadied. When questioned, rider stated that with his mount stepping up in distance, he was asked to take up a more forward position than at its first race start. He added after being steadied to avoid a runner when the pace of the event slackened after the 700M, his mount then hung in when placed under pressure in the Home Straight and raced tight from the 300M to the 100M. After the race was examined by the vet who found that horse to have a small abrasion to the right front fetlock - Race 149.

The next day was reported to be lame in its right front leg. Has since passed an official vet exam - Race 139.
