After the event, rider stated that after initially responding to his riding in the early part of the Home Straight, his mount commenced to give ground passing the 100M and he could offer no explanation for its disappointing performance. Trainer could offer no explanation for the disappointing performance of the horse. Post-race vet inspection did not show any significant findings. Performance compared to its previous starts was considered to be disappointing. Has since performed to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and passed an official vet exam - Race 273.
3 H460  BOWSER  18/12/2024   275  BOWSER (H460) from a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages. Near the 650M was checked - Race 275.

For some distance approaching the 700M raced keenly and after being steadied away from a runner near the 700M commenced a forward move thereafter where it raced very wide and without cover - Race 293.
12 J441  BRILLIANT FIRE  29/12/2024   300  BRILLIANT FIRE (J441) after the event, rider reported that the intention was to hold a more forward position preferably with cover. He said in the early stages when caught wide he was obliged to continue forward to cross a runner to avoid racing wide and as a result when placed under pressure in the Home Straight his mount failed to respond to his riding - Race 300.
