He said when he put the whip away near the 200M and commenced to ride his mount out hands and heels, soon after his mount commenced to respond to his riding before making good ground over the concluding stages - Race 346.

He said with the pace of the event being run slightly outside of standard time in the early stages, the horse was able to cross to the lead and that was the principal reason for its improved performance in the event - Race 276.

7 H429  FRANTANCK  26/12/2024   289  FRANTANCK (H429) when questioned, rider stated that the instructions were to lead the event, but he was advised not to excessively restrain the horse as it has a respiratory condition and has been reported as a "roarer”. He said after leading the event in the early stages, near the 1600M raced keenly and lay in which resulted in it making contact with the running rail near the 1200M. He said whilst he was aware he was setting a fast pace, having regard to his instructions not to excessively restrain his mount, his mount set a faster pace than he would have liked despite his best endeavours to restrain his mount in accordance with his instructions. He added that as a result of the manner in which his mount raced throughout the early and middle stages it gave ground in the Home Straight. Following the race found that horse to be a "roarer’ which had previously been reported - Race 289.
