He said prior to the start being effected his mount became a little fractious in the starting gates and as a result was slow to begin. He said soon after his mount was crowded to the inside of a runner and as a result he was obliged to settle in a midfield position. He added that near the 500M when another runner improved to his outside he was reluctant to commence a forward move at that stage as his mount was carrying the top weight of 135 lbs. He added when that runner improved past his mount, his mount then commenced to race keenly and was steadied passing the 500M. He further stated that after improving to the outside in the Home Straight his mount responded to his riding, however, in his opinion, its run peaked passing the 100M – Race 446.
