After the event, rider stated that the instructions were to allow his mount to settle where comfortable and not to make use of it in the early stages as his mount had not finished its races off at its most recent race starts when ridden in that manner. He said after being crowded at the start his mount settled in a midfield position where it travelled comfortably. He added in the Home Straight his mount finished the race off only fairly - Race 577.
13 J344  CONCORDE STAR  29/12/2024   302  CONCORDE STAR (J344) shortly after the start was steadied when crowded. Making the first turn lay out and as a result was steadied and then made contact with a runner - Race 302.
14 H407  KING OBERON  06/04/2025   564  KING OBERON (H407) near the 950M got its head up when being steadied away from a runner. Near the 600M was steadied when racing keenly. When questioned, rider stated that he was instructed to take up a midfield position with cover and when caught wide in the early stages he was obliged to settle further back in the field to obtain cover. When questioned regarding his riding in the Home Straight rider stated that when positioned behind a runner he was unable to test his mount approaching the 400M when that runner shifted out. He added as that runner was then inclined to shift ground, between the 400M and the 250M he was unable to fully test his mount until that runner shifted out near the 250M where he was able to obtain clear running to its inside - Race 564.

After the event, rider reported that in the Home Straight his mount did not respond and did not fully stretch out under pressure. After the race was reported the horse made an abnormal respiratory noise. Post-race vet inspection did not show any significant findings - Race 540.
