He said in the Home Straight he was disappointed with the finishing effort of his mount but could offer no explanation as to why it did not finish the race off strongly. Post-race vet inspection did not show any significant findings - Race 324.

He said, under its top weight, in the Home Straight his mount responded reasonably well to his riding, however, its run peaked after the 150M. Post-race vet inspection did not show any significant findings - Race 585.

8 H303  TOMODACHI KOKOROE  12/02/2025   424  TOMODACHI KOKOROE (H303) after the event, rider reported that his mount raced keenly throughout the early and middle stages and refused to settle. He said when under pressure in the Home Straight his mount did not appreciate the "Wet Slow” track conditions. After the race was reported by the vet who said the horse was displaying an irregular heart rhythm. The next day was reported to be lame in its right front leg. Has since performed to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and passed an official vet exam - Race 424.
9 H155  LADY'S CHOICE  13/04/2025   585  LADY'S CHOICE (H155) bumped at the start. When questioned, rider stated that the instructions were to lead the event. He said as a result in the early stages he rode his mount along to comply with the instructions where his mount showed good pace to hold the front. He said whilst he was aware that the pace of the event was fast his mount was travelling comfortably in the early stages to hold the lead. He added when a runner maintained its position to his outside near the 900M and as its rider showed intent on crossing his mount he then elected near the 900M to allow that runner to cross his mount as he was of the opinion the pace of the event was too fast. He said after obtaining a trailing position behind that runner, his mount travelled only fairly and for that reason near the 500M he elected to shift his mount to the outside of that runner to encourage it to maintain its position and to commence to improve into the event. He said after entering the Home Straight he held his mount together for a short distance before commencing to ride it out to the finish of the event and his mount continued to respond to his riding to the line. After considering his explanation, the Stewards found the tactics adopted by rider were reasonable in the circumstances - Race 585.
