After the event, rider stated that his mount travelled satisfactorily in the early stages and came under pressure near the 500M before giving ground in the Home Straight. After the race was examined by the vet who said an endoscopic exam showed a substantial amount of blood in the horse's trachea. Has since passed an official vet exam -Race 559.

6 H134  LEAN MASTER  13/04/2025   584  LEAN MASTER (H134) when questioned, rider stated that the instructions were to lead the event. She said after commencing well and when positioned to the inside of a runner she allowed her mount to improve slightly to ensure that she maintained the lead near the 900M. She said as she did so her mount then commenced to race keenly and set a faster pace than she had intended. She added that from the 550M she continued to encourage her mount into the race before her mount gave ground in the Home Straight. After considering her explanation, the Stewards advised rider that, in their opinion, she should have held her mount together from the 550M to give it the opportunity to finish the race off better entering the Home Straight - Race 584.

In the early part of the Home Straight hung in and proved difficult to ride out, resulting in its rider changing his whip through to his right hand near the 300M - Race 340.
