Near the 300M was held up for clear running when endeavouring to obtain a narrow run and made contact with a runner. Over the final 100M lay in, resulting in its rider having to correct his mount on a number of occasions - Race 647.

4 J514  MAX QUE  04/05/2025   647  MAX QUE (J514) when questioned regarding his riding from the 600M and if there was an opportunity to follow the 3rd placegetter into the event, rider stated that his mount travelled well in a handy position behind and to the inside of that runner. He said leaving the 600M he contemplated shifting out to follow that runner into the race, however, when he became concerned that that runner was under pressure, he elected not to do so as he also would have been required to come back slightly to provide himself with comfortable racing room to follow that runner. He added after committing to the inside of that runner near the 550M, that runner then unexpectedly improved to the outside of another runner which then resulted in his mount having to be checked near the 350M when disappointed for clear running. After considering his explanation the Stewards found the tactics adopted by rider were reasonable in the circumstances - Race 647.

Post-race vet inspection did not show any significant findings. Racing manners were considered unacceptable. Has since performed to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial - Race 507.
