When questioned regarding his riding in the early stages and if there was an opportunity to make more effort to hold his position to the inside of a runner, rider stated that the instructions were to hold an on-pace position. He said when positioned to the inside of that runner in the early stages he was reluctant to make too much use of his mount as his mount has a sensitive mouth and if he was required to take corrective action that would result in his mount over-reacting to his efforts. He said for that reason he rode his mount in a neutral manner in the early stages which then allowed that runner to cross him approaching the 1200M - Race 630.
5 H465  THE CONCENTRATION  18/05/2025   679  THE CONCENTRATION (H465) bumped on jumping. After the event rider reported that his mount did not travel well during the race and as a result did not run on in the Home Straight. Post-race vet inspection did not show any significant findings - Race 679.
6 J065  MANYTHANKS FOREVER  06/04/2025   563  MANYTHANKS FOREVER (J065) bumped at the start. Near the 450M was brushed. After the event, rider could offer no explanation for his mount’s disappointing performance. Post-race vet inspection did not show any significant findings - Race 563.
7 J149  POCHETTINO  31/05/2025   717  POCHETTINO (J149) after the event rider reported that his mount raced three wide, however was able to obtain cover and he could offer no reason as to why his mount failed to run on in the Home Straight. Post-race vet inspection did not show any significant findings - Race 717.
8 H018  ISLAND GOLDEN  23/04/2025   611  ISLAND GOLDEN (H018) after the event rider stated that his mount travelled only fairly during the race and came under pressure approaching the 600M before failing to run on in the Home Straight. After the race was examined by the vet who said an endoscopic exam showed a substantial amount of blood in the horse's trachea. Has since passed an official vet exam - Race 611.
9 H180  MR GOOD VIBES  15/03/2025   506  MR GOOD VIBES (H180) after the event, rider reported that his mount came under pressure in the middle stages, did not finish the race off thereafter and was eased down in the Home Straight. Post-race vet inspection did not show any significant findings. Finished tailed out and performance was considered unacceptable. Has since performed to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and passed an official vet exam – Race 506.

He added that in retrospect his mount may not have been suited by leading the event as it races best when able to make up ground from behind runners. Post-race vet inspection did not show any significant findings - Race 708.
