After the event, rider stated that although his mount was interfered with near the 1000M it finished the race off only fairly when placed under pressure in the Home Straight. Post-race vet inspection did not show any significant findings - Race 551.

She said when her mount did not show sufficient pace to cross runners to her inside it was obliged to race wide and without cover. She said with the horse stepping up in distance it did not finish the race off due to the wide run – Race 686.
