In the early stages shifted in and away from a runner, made contact with another runner and as a result was steadied. Lay in over the final 200M. After the event rider reported that from a wide barrier he was instructed to ride his mount in a conservative manner in the early stages. He said the instructions were issued to him on the basis that his mount had led at its most recent start and had performed in a disappointing manner. Trainer confirmed the instructions issued - Race 715.

He said in the early stages his mount raced keenly and as a result he allowed it to improve forward to race in the lead near the 900M. He added due to the manner in which the horse raced finish the race off in the Home Straight. Post-race vet inspection did not show any significant findings - Race 749.
2 H454  JOLLY COMPANION  04/06/2025   730  JOLLY COMPANION (H454) leaving the 50M raced in restricted room. After the event rider reported that the instructions were to go forward. He said his mount jumped only fairly and did not show sufficient pace in the early stages to hold a forward position which he attributed to the "Good to Yielding” track conditions - Race 730.
