PATCH OF WATCH (H476) when questioned rider stated that the instructions were to endeavour to lead the event. She said on jumping her mount bounded and lost ground after which she then commenced to ride the horse along. She said when she identified a runner racing in advance of her, she elected to continue to ride her mount forward to follow that runner as she was aware that that runner is a horse that can race in an on-pace position. She added that after improving behind that runner near the 900M, that runner continued forward and crossed another runner which then resulted in her mount racing wide and without cover from the 800M. She said her mount throughout the event hung in and also raced keenly - Race 759. |
