He said when unable to cross runners to his inside in the early stages his mount settled further back than intended. He added his mount lay in in the middle stages and failed to respond to his riding in the Home Straight. Post-race vet inspection did not show any significant findings - Race 723.

He said his mount, which had been unusually fractious in the barriers, was hampered at the start when it made contact with a runner. He said in the early stages he was obliged to make use of his mount to go forward and comply with the instructions and the horse did not show its usual speed in the early stages. He added in the Home Straight his mount immediately came under pressure and when runners shifted ground slightly near the 200M his mount did not respond to his riding and gave ground from that point. Trainer advised that the horse had pleased him leading into the event and in particular had barrier trialed well at Sha Tin on 11 March 2025. He added that he had expected the horse to perform well in the event and could offer no explanation for the horse’s disappointing performance. Post-race vet inspection did not show any significant findings. Performance compared to its previous starts was considered to be disappointing. Has since performed to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and passed an official vet exam - Race 532.
