After the 200M the horse then endeavoured to obtain a run between two runners where it was steadied when disappointed for clear running near the 150M. As a result the horse did not obtain clear running until after being shifted out leaving the 100M – Race 811.
11 G301  COLOURFUL BARON  22/06/2025   768  COLOURFUL BARON (G301) in the early stages raced keenly and for some distance near the 1600M got its head up when being steadied away from a runner. After the event rider reported that he was given no specific instructions other than to settle his mount where comfortable. He said his mount was able to obtain a midfield position where it travelled well. He added his mount had difficulty obtaining clear running over the final 200M and as a result could not be fully ridden out to the finish of the event. Post-race vet inspection did not show any significant findings. The next day was reported to be lame in its left front leg. Has since passed an official vet exam - Race 768.
12 H447  FAMILY FORTUNE  05/07/2025   811  FAMILY FORTUNE (H447) after the event rider reported that the instructions were to hold a midfield position. He said with the pace of the event easing in the middle stages he shifted his mount out near the 1000M when being steadied. He said as a result his mount was obliged to race very wide and without cover thereafter. Post-race vet inspection did not show any significant findings - Race 811.
